How Our Network Works for Homeowners
Request an estimate
Who You Talk To
You talk to an independent local provider. That is a mold business in or near your area that has joined our network. Dukehip Mold Help makes the introduction, and then the provider takes over. The provider answers your questions, visits your home if needed and gives you a written quote.
What Happens After You Reach Out
First, you send an estimate request, or you request a callback to check provider availability. Next, we pass your town and your problem to a provider who fits. Then the provider contacts you. Timing varies, and many providers can respond quickly, but we cannot promise it.
Expect a few simple questions. Where is the mold? How big is the patch? Has there been a leak or flood? Take a few photos first. They help a lot.
What to Ask a Provider
Have this list ready:
- Are you licensed and insured for mold work where I live?
- Do you offer certified mold testing, or do you use a separate lab?
- Will you find the moisture source, not just clean the surface?
- Is the quote in writing, and what does it include?
- How will you contain the area so spores stay put?
- What should I do before you arrive?
For black mold remediation, also ask how the provider checks that the job is finished.
Pricing, Plainly
Mold work costs vary a lot. In the U.S., a basic inspection often runs a few hundred dollars, and remediation can range from a few hundred to several thousand depending on size and materials. Your home may differ. Get a written quote and compare it with a second one if you like.
You Are in Control
Talking to a provider does not lock you in. You can ask questions, say no or take time to think. Do the safe small steps meanwhile. Dry it first. Run a dehumidifier. Fix the moisture source. Stay out of large moldy areas.
